2019 – Further Continued Investment in World Class Cable Manufacturing Automation

Ventcroft’s recent 2018 investment in two new robotic cable winders and additional plant in 2018
provided us a large cable manufacturing capacity increase, however, UK and Worldwide demand
continues to grow, and a further robotic winder is due to be installed during the 4 th quarter of
2019. An interesting statistic.(Read More) shows how Ventcroft leads the way in cable
production and automation investment. 2016 figures show a Worldwide and UK average of
around 1 industrial robot per 100 employees were in use. Once our 4 th robot is installed, Ventcroft
will have more than 1 robot per 10 staff members.

This continuing new investment in UK cable manufacturing follows on from an over £3 million
investment during 2017 on additional insulation and sheathing lines, cable bunching and wire
drawing plant.

BASEC System Management approval updated
No change

Ventcroft’s system management has been BASEC approved to meet the updated requirements
of BS EN ISO 9001: 2015. (Read More)

Construction Product Regulations (CPR) 1st July 2017
Ventcroft’s Union intruder alarm range is CPR compliant and approved, shortly our LSZH Type 1
range will be upgraded to Class Dca level, a copy of our declaration of performances can be

2018 – Additional Investment in World Class Cable Automated Cable Manufacturing

This year Ventcroft have already invested in two new robotic automatic cable winders, these will be installation May 2018 and are required to increase our capacity to cope with the continued worldwide growth in demand for our fire cables.

In addition, further multi £million investments in new production equipment is planned for 2018

Statistic: 2016 figures show a Worldwide and UK average of less than 1 industrial robot per 100 employees were in use. When the new robots are installed in May, Ventcroft will have 1 robot per 10 staff.
